Liza Snyder

Snyder is a native of Northampton, Massachusetts. Her mother, who sings and songwriters has been her father. Snyder is also an instructor of theatre at Smith College. Her maternal grandparents were five times Academy Award-winning composer Johnny Green, and the actress and consumer journalist Betty Furness. Snyder was a student at The Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre, New York City. She was taught by Sanford Meisner. Snyder began her career appearing in television dramas like The Trials of Rosie O'Neill and Murder, She Wrote. In 1993, she landed the lead role as Molly Whelan in the ABC and later the syndicated crime show Sirens. After the series was canceled after two seasons, she appeared in two television movies that were made to be broadcast in addition to guest-starring on Chicago Hope, and Pacific Blue. From 1998 until in 2000, she appeared as a regular cast member in the NBC sitcom Jesse which starred Christina Applegate. Snyder made her screen debut with a minor role in Pay It Forward which was directed by Mimi Leder. The following year, Snyder began starring as Christine Hughes on the CBS sitcom Yes, Dear. The show ended in 2006. In the years following, Yes, Dear, Snyder had a five-year hiatus. The actress returned to the screen in 2011 with a guest-starring part in an episode of House as the patient that needed the donation of a lung. In the Raising Hope episode from 2013 she reprised her Yes, Dear character. Liza Liza Liza
