LeBron Raymone James Sr., born December 30, 1984, is an American professional basketball player who represents the Los Angeles Lakers (NBA). The nickname is King James he is widely considered one of the greatest players of all time and is frequently compared to Michael Jordan in debates over the greatest basketball player in history. James has been the recipient of four NBA Championships, the four NBA MVP Awards, four NBA Finals MVP Awards and three All-Star MVP Awards. He has also won 2 Olympic Gold Medals. James has scored the most points in the playoffs with the second-highest number of points in his career and is the seventh player with the most career assists. He has been selected an NBA All-Star 18 times to the All-NBA Team a record 18 times, and was named for be named to the NBA All-Defensive First Team five times. James has played in the ten NBA Finals the third most of all time, with eight games in succession between the years of 2011 and 2018. James was chosen to join the 75th Anniversary Team. And in 2022 he became first NBA player to ever score more than 10,000 career points. James was a student at St. Vincent St. Mary High School, in Akron Ohio. The national media celebrated James as an NBA star. In 2003 it was the year that his team, the Cleveland Cavaliers took him first in the NBA draft, as a pre-pro. Named the 2004 NBA Rookie of the Year the player quickly became one of the league's premier players, winning his NBA MVP award in 2010 and 2009. James, who failed to win the championship in Cleveland, in the year 2010, was released as a free agent and joined in the Miami Heat. This was disclosed by the book The Decision.
