Garena has launched Garena introduced the Garena Professional League (GPL) in May 2012, a six month-long professional gaming league which includes more than 100 live matches. The inaugural season of GPL includes a League of Legends competition which is comprised of six professional teams. which represent top players from different countries. GPL matches are recorded and broadcast on-line along with commentary. These games are made available for viewers to view on the GPL's official site. Garena Premier League 2013 includes two teams new from Taiwan and Vietnam adding the total amount of teams up to eight. The teams are: AHQ (Asia), Saigon Fantastic Five (Saigon Jokers), Bangkok Titans (Bangkok) and Kuala Lumpur Hunters(Kuala Lumpur) as well as Manila Eagles(Manila) The Taipei Assassins and Singapore Sentinels. Garena's eSports Stadium, which is a venue dedicated to esports in the Neihu District Taipei, opened on the 14th of November 14, 2014. The studio opened in November 2014 at the opening of the League of Legends Masters Series. It's the most prestigious LoL Taiwanese, Hong Kongese, and Macau LoL League which spun off from the GPL. Garena has started with the Iron Solari League - a League of Legends competition for women in the Philippines - in January of 2015. The event takes place in the second month in every month. It is designed to increase participation from groups that are underrepresented and is accessible to women who identify as female. Garena is not only a tournament organizer but also offline gatherings and social events that enable users to connect.
