Cynthia Ann Crawford was born February 20, 1966. She is an American actress, model, and television personality. She was a model as well as a popular figure on magazines' covers as well as runways and fashion ads in the 1990s and the 1980s. Later, she ventured into acting and began a business. In her sophomore year in high school saw her receive an inquiry from an apparel store in the local area regarding modeling work. She later learned that it was a joke call by two of the students. Crawford was one of the high school girls recruited by another store, who also did a fashion shoot. In her senior year local photographer Roger Legel, whose duties included capturing a different college girl to be that week's coed on the DeKalb Nite Weekly, asked to photograph Crawford for the publication; the result was her first cover. [9] The photo as well as the positive comments she received was enough to make her want to pursue modeling. She began her career with an agency of a smaller size. Elite Model Management bought it shortly after she signed. At 17 years old she took part in Elite's Look of the Year contest and made it to the national finals.
